You know the song by Eric Carmen. And don't feel bad if you didn't know it was by Eric Carmen because I had to google it! I have been singing that song the last thirty minutes or so because I am, as Eric sings, all by myself and I'm LIVIN IT UP!
Now that Veda is 3 months old Joe can take her and Silas to the gym with him after work and I get to bask in pure solitude. And those of you know don't know me real personally (who am I kidding....all 9 of my followers do) I need alone time daily. I love being a wife and mommy to young kids but I do dream about the days where I would have hours on end with nothing on the agenda and many of those hours were spent in my room in front of the mirror singing along to Mariah Carey or painting my nails. Side note: I remember painting my nails before every date I had with Joe probably until we got married. Talk about time on my hands (pun intended!)
And of course I had a mental list of things I was going to do during my solitude time today: organize tax info, deposit checks at the bank, put away clean laundry, make dinner, budget our life, look up double jogger strollers on criagslist, 30 day shred, change our spit up stained sheets, file receipts, return emails... And of course time is a ticking and I'm updating the blog...that wasn't even on my to do list and it's not even an interesting post (sorry!)
Well, before my alone time is totally up I'm off to to something else that's not on my list....read some random people's blogs that I stalk....uninterrupted!!
