My Little Rock Star

My in-laws are very musically talented. Joe's dad plays violin on a professional level. His uncle plays cello, one of his aunts plays violin and the other flute. Joe forcefully took piano lessons for almost ten years and although he hated it, he can still bust out a song if I beg him. Being marrying into a musically inclined family made me realize, despite my five whole years of piano lessons and a few months of drum lessons, I am so not musical.

They all hear things in songs that I don't. The back beat or the key change or even what instrument is playing! Joe's mom says that Silas has a good ear for music. They usually have classical music playing at their house and when Silas is over there he apparently notices things like the violin solo in the song (is that what you call it, a song? or do I call classical music a composition? or a piece?...) Whatever.

I am anxious to see if all this music talk will lead to anything. Alls I know is that he can rock a pretty rad Mohawk!
