Full of Thanks

In light of Thanksgiving I thought it would be fun to post things I'm thankful for from now until Thanksgiving.




1) My small group



Below is a picture of the ladies. Last night we threw Rachel a baby shower, hence the screaming baby in the middle, as the guys helped Brett remodel his kitchen.

Toward the end of last year I really felt like it would be good for Joe and me to join a young couples small group. Joe was definitely willing, but not as eager as I. Our pastor often talks about the great benefits of being a part of a covenant/small group. He talks about his small group, what they do together to serve the community and others in need. He also has so many good things to say about the fellowship, accountability and support that comes from a small group.




There are currently eight couples that we meet with every other week (I know, it's not really a "small group") . I feel like each person brings so much to the group. I am constantly amazed at peoples' wisdom, understanding, knowledge, insight, character, perseverance, and genuine pursuit to be more like Christ.

The best part is that Joe is almost more excited than I am each week to see the group. He is really enjoying guy friends that are at the same spot in life as he is with the same goals. And it is so fun to see him get so excited!

A definite breath of fresh air and I am so THANKFUL for being a part of this Young Couples Small Group.
