A Shout Out

I feel like recently I have read a few blogs where moms have talked about their fears and struggles with food and their children. I have even had a recent conversation with a friend who was worried about her 6 year old daughters frequent eating. My kids are still young enough where I can control everything that goes in their mouths, but I know there will be a day when I won't have that control. So in lieu of recent readings, conversations and many peoples' new year goals I thought I'd do a little plug for my mother-in-law and designate a blog post to her books.

Naturally Thin Kids <--- great read for any parent especially parents of overweight children or children who are extremely picky eaters.

Breaking out of Food Jail <---- great book for people who have struggled with eating disorders or food obsessions.

Naturally Thin by Eating More <---- great book for anyone especially those who have yo-yo dieted (what's up America!) and want something realistic.

All excellent books; easy to read and research based!!

She has lived by her theory for thirty years. Never has she gone hungry or not been able to keep up the lifestyle. She looks fantastic and honestly, to me, it just makes sense.

So check it out here, read Jean's (my mother-in-law) story here, and pass along the information to anyone who may be interested!!

I remember reading Naturally Thin by Eating More about 5 years or so ago. I was so glad for the recommendation Ang and really appreciated her fresh/realistic/doable/healthy approach to life, not just eating. It really is a lifestyle thing, huh? It would be good to read her other stuff sometime. But yeah, loved this book!
