That One Dress

I tackled that dress from Pinterest that I mentioned in my last post. As my husband would say, "Easy peasy, lemon squeezy." It was a very simple sewing project and cheap, too!

I went to Target and got a pack of 5 black and gray men's 'beaters' size small for a little over $11. I went to Joann and got thick black elastic. I think it was $2.99 a yard. And I had the gray corduroy fabric already. My mom had attempted to make curtains for my nephew and he didn't like them, so I got the fabric!

Here is the tutorial.

I don't think I'd do such a thick fabric next time because we all know that thick bunching is definitely not slimming! But I do like the dark color. I can throw on some black tights and a cardigan and wear it in the fall or put on sandals and make it a summer dress.

And for all you preggos out there, put the elastic up a little higher and badda boom, badda bang; you got yourself a cute maternity dress!

Ok now, ya'll go and create!

CUTE!!! Seriously love it Angel! One day when I have a more predictable schedule (if that happens ;)) I may just try & tackle this project myself.
