In this picture none of us are married and we probably stayed up all night playing the Would You Rather game Wedding Edition. Where we ask each other shallow questions that consist of things like: "Would you rather hate your dress our your wedding ring?"
Now, almost 2011, we are all happily married and we all love our wedding rings and our dresses and the only thing you can find us doing in the wee morning hours these days is feeding our babies!
The first to become a Mrs. was Naomi (second to left). She married, Rick, her high school sweet heart. It only took him seven years to pop the question...but Naomi says it was totally worth the wait! Not long after Naomi and Rick became 'one' Katie took the reigns as a Mrs. She met a southern lad, Mark, while on Summer Project in Branson, MO and although they didn't start dating right away, on their Project reunion sparks flew and they soon became a duo. Next was me. Although my beau and I didn't date in our teens we did graduate from the same high school. We were set up on a blind date and before we knew it I was walking down the aisle to Joe. While I was getting married to a '02 Irondale alum Lindsey (second from right) was getting engaged to one. Lindsey's better half, Pat, grew up with Joe and graduated with him (small world!) While Joe and Pat were reminicing about their school days Amy was busy getting back in contact with her high school sweet heart, Terry, who hadn't been a part of her life for years. We all blinked and they became a pair.
Now:
a few short years later we went from college student Jessica Simpson wanna-be's to Mommy Jessica Simpson wanna-be's!
From Left to Right: Naomi's Conner turned 1 in October, my Silas will be 2 in March, Katie's youngest, Emory, turned 1 in June, Lindsey's Bennett is 5 months, Katie's oldest, Brooklynn, just turned 3 the end of November and then there is little baby Veda almost a month.
In February baby Wing will make Fry Street baby #7
And in July Baby Carrington will make #8
I am excited to see where the Lord leads each and every one of us as our families continue to grow.... We are blessed!
PS Brooklynn and Silas had a blast "wrestling" and dancing. Shall they ever get married these pictures will make it to the wedding slideshow. :)
