She is baking away nicely at 36 weeks. I am beginning to think that she will arrive closer to Christmas than Thanksgiving seeing as the last two appointments I've had she has measured two weeks behind. I am now trying to mentally preparing for an overdue baby....ugh! I guess Baby G has been hearing all of this I'm Not Ready talk and is taking her precious time.
All is well on the pregnancy front otherwise. I am tired and hot, but overall I don't feel like I'm hanging on the end of my rope yet.
Looking back at my 36 week picture with Silas I looked a little out of it then too!
People often ask me if Silas has any idea what is about to happen. He has no clue. He does kiss and rub my belly at times, and is on baby patrol always pointing out pictures or real babies to me, but that's about it. And I know he gets annoyed that my lap is getting smaller and smaller. It's hard for him to get comfortable when I rock him and he gets annoyed when he sits in my lap during music class. He keeps on trying to scoot back and then gives my belly the stink-eye when he can't sink into my lap.
And since my Midwife told me to 'take it easy' I made Silas walk from the exam room to the front door of Woodwinds; which took a solid 15 minutes. He did great clomping up all of those stairs in his winter boots (that he insists on wearing!). And it wore him out enough for a nice, long nap---for the both of us!
