Owl Applique and Backup Blankie

This is what happened during nap time.  He took a short nap so the kitchen is still a mess....but I had some 'me' time and that is what helps with the sanity, right?

My aunt made Baby Girl a blanket that is similar to the one she made Silas.  And the one she made Silas is his favorite blankie.  What he loves about it is the crotchet edges.  I have found that Baby Girl's blanket is a perfect backup blankie for Silas.  I can now wash his blankie and not hold my breath for an hour and a half as it goes through the washing machine and then the dryer hoping Silas doesn't request his 'baybee' in a panic.  As long as he can rub some soft crotchet cotton on his face he is good to go!
