On the Mend

Thanks everyone for your kind words and prayers, Silas is doing so much better!! His rashes are looking less painful and he is acting more like himself. The anti fungal must be kicking in.  Also, I got a call from his Dr and one of the stool tests came back and he does have some infection (if that's what you'd call it) from the antibiotic that has effected his bowls. So, she put him on another medicine to cure that.  It sounds like the infection would eventually go away generally, but since he is battling yeast she wanted to give him something to knock it out. I hope the meds kick in soon so his diarrhea is cured because that is no fun for anyone in the house!

On a totally unrelated note, here is a video of Silas' deep, low raspy voice.  Everyone comments on how low his voice is for a baby so I thought I'd get it on video so I'd never forget. He mostly babbles in his own little language saying  a few real words every  now and again. In this video you'll hear 'stick',  but usually what I hear all day long is, 'no'.  I ask him anything from - Are you hungry?- to - Do you want to take a bath?- and his response is usually a nonchalant, 'no'.
