I painted her nursery and I am not sold. I wanted either a rich gold yellow or a sweet soft yellow and what I got was neither.
This first picture--not that bad, right? But it's not the real color.
This picture is shows more of the true color. Woah!
When I am in the room for more than a few minutes it doesn't seem as bad, but when I immediately walk into the room I am completely over stimulated. I'm not sure what to do. I really don't want to repaint the whole room and I don't want to pay someone to do it either. I may throw some softer yellow thick stripes on the walls to soften the room and create some depth, or I may just let it grow on me. It may not look as bad with the furniture in the room and stuff hung on the wall. Oh well, I guess I have another 4 months to deal with it!

I actually really like the color! Hopefully it grows on you :)
I think it looks good. I think once you get furniture in there and things on the walls it will not look as overwhelming as you think.
I agree--once the furniture is in there I bet it will totally change!
Have fun with it! I agree, I think you've got a good color so far, so just let the creative juices flow until you love it.
Ang I REALLY like it! But you're the one who has to walk in it every day.....hopefully it'll grow on you. especially with furniture, wall hangings and a pretty baby girl in it. :)
I think it's warm and sunny!
But if you are thinking of doing striped, Benjamin Moore's Hawthorne Yellow worked lovely in our back bedroom.
