Sydnee came over Thursday morning, spent the day with us playing and then slept over until Friday. She was a good little helper. She also made friends with the neighbor girl, Natalie, and they spent some time swimming in Natalie's pool!
Before bed Joe and I spent a good chunk of time playing an arousing game of three way war with Syd.
After war Joe couldn't handle more than one episode of Hannah Montana and made Sydnee watch Bounty Hunter. She was a trooper :)
Friday night we headed to the cabin knowing that the next day we would be hosting quite the river party. We didn't get to the cabin until 10pm and the whole car ride there (20min) Silas insisted I hold my hand. I reached back and we held hands and I melted the whole way. I would rub his hand with my thumb, and then he'd do the same to me. Double melt! He would move his hand for a brief second and then wiggle it back underneath mine. Dangerously sweet while driving.
Here are Silas and Maya. They are only one month apart and by this picture you can tell they are exactly the same age. When introduced to a bucket of water they do the same thing. They're so cute together!
The River party was a blast. 8 adults, 9 kids under 6 and lots of swimming, jet skiing and shell finding. Between Joe and I we only had one kid to watch and we still managed to lose him at one point. Talk about panic. And if you've been to the cabin you'll realize it's far from kid friendly (statues, steep wooden steps, water, hard cement) While we were panicking he was busy spraying all of the towels with a hose. Of course!
Sunday Joe and I headed back to the cabin after church and had a fun family day. Well, mostly fun until the boat died. We were playing at a little sandbar/island and the boat wouldn't start. Thankfully the guy next to us was kind enough to help us out and eventually took Joe to go get a new battery while Silas and I just played in the sand and went swimming.
After the swim and the new battery Silas got some naked time and guess who absolutely loved it?!
On the way home (still naked) he was so tired that he snuggled up with his blanket on the boat floor and took a rest.
What a wonderful weekend. We are so thankful for the beautiful weather, great friends and such amazing opportunities!

So sweet about the hand holding in the car! Connor likes to do that sometimes too and I'm with you, it melts my heart (but it isn't super safe if you're the one driving ;))
Hilarious boat pics. Glad you had fun at the lake! xoxo
Silas looks like Joe in these pictures!
