The warm summer weather has been treating us kind. Silas and I have been spending most of his awake time outside in the backyard: picking weeds, splashing in the kiddy pool, insisting on walking up and down the street, collecting pine cones and sticks and of course having lots of snacks.
I think I have the most active 14.5month old on the planet. Really. And with me still in my first trimester he wears me out. Right now I often think that this is the most challenging time of motherhood I have faced; but I'm guessing when the next baby comes and I am up all night and have to deal with an active 21month old I will think differently.
I sleep when he sleeps and have been known to go straight to bed when Joe gets home. My wonderful husband has been so kind as to keep up with the chores and deal with Silas 80% of the time after work and on the weekends so I am not so worn out. Energy, we all miss you!!!
