Since our walls are still pretty  bare I decided to do some after holiday shopping (note: this is an overdue post) and see what I could find.  I found these cute hooks for our entryway from the garage.  There is a lot of traffice there and although these hooks don't hold much weight, they add some character to a boring space.

The bare wall in the living room has bothered me since we moved in.  I know it has bothered my in-laws as well because they often bring over a picture of a painting for us to hang there. I can think of at least three paintings or pictures that I have been hung there by them and later removed by me :)  I went to Pier 1 Imports one afternoon in search of a fun mirror for the space and found this:

Although we have two new things in our house to add some fun, our Christmas tree still lays on our deck two months later in true Antonello fashion : (

Last year once the snow melted I insisted that the tree be removed.  Joe removed it from on the deck to under the deck.  Eventually in the summer our lawn service hauled it away.  We'll see what the fate of this tree will be...
