Veda's Birthday

The Big Day!

Feels like not long ago I was posting her birth story, now it is already three years later.

Veda woke up to a decorated room and about fainted with excitement! We decorated Silas' room this year as well, and he was excited, but nothing to the level of Veda's thrill. She ran up and down the hallway summoning all of us to her room as soon as she woke up. It was so so sweet and it was so fun making my girl feel so special on her special day.

We picked up Silas from school that morning and she grinned at all of the other parents in the hall just waiting for them to wish her a happy birthday. Love the innocence!

We did a little celebration with just the immediate family that evening. As in, I actually made dinner (that the kids didn't touch!) and bought a (pink) cake and (pink) candles to go with her presents that were wrapped in (pink) wrapping paper. A total hit!

Here she is about to celebrate!

We let her open gifts first because the suspense was torture. We got her new kid scissors. She has been loving them and working hard, but let me tell you about the scraps of paper that are everywhere! Good golly! We also got her an ink and stamp set along with some mini play animals.

This is her excited/embarrassed face. A total classic!

Loved every second of that birthday song!

This is what happens when I ask them to look at the camera while they are deep in play. Comedy!

I'm planning a friend party in January. December is such a tough month to plan any event that doesn't have to do with The Holidays and also have all the grandparents able to attend. I'm actually kind of regretting telling her that she'll have a bigger party because she was quite content with her little pink cake, the pink candles and those stamps! :)
