Our anniversary was waaaay back in October. Remember that month? October 6th marked six years for us. A good friend was getting married in Florida on our anniversary weekend so we decided to book flights and do a double celebration. Our anniversary and Megan's wedding. This was our first time a flight away from the kids and for two nights in a row. Joe's parents and our friends (who, by the way already a have two little kids) graciously offered to help watch our kids while we were out relaxing on the beach. I will admit I was nervous, nervous to leave the kids and also to fly at ten weeks pregnant. But things went better than I could have imagined. The kids did awesome and I never felt better! The flights went great and being worry free on a beach in Florida was heavenly.
We slipped away after the Groom's Dinner for some pictures on the beach.
We rented a jet ski for an hour and cruised around the ocean. We found a few dolphins that were showing off for us just feet away. It was amazing be so close to wild dolphins!
And of course Ross and Megan's wedding. Perfect day on St. Pete's beach. Seriously, couldn't have asked for a more beautiful beach wedding. Here is Megan and her dad.
And the reception. Super fun! Live band, amazing food, one of the classiest weddings I've attended.
Megs and me. We go way back to my YWAM days. We lived together in Hawaii and both did our outreach in Cambodia. Lots of unforgettable times together....like the topless $5/hr massage in Thailand ;) Love this girl!
And yes, Joe did officially break dance with a crowd of people circling him. Never dull!
We might try to squeeze in another get away before the next rascal joins our family!
