We got ready together at Leah's house. Danielle came to town (Summer's sister) and utilized her talents by doing our hair and makeup. I'm still scrubbing off some eye makeup...two weeks later!
We spent most of our night at Gasthof's. Dancing and complaining of our sore knees. The majority of us are moms to young kids, and I know one of us was staying hydrated with water the whole night because she had to rush home after bar close and nurse her infant. And I think all of us were in shock that we were up in the wee hours of the morning and it didn't include a crying kid.
| The drunk old guy |
We danced and laughed and avoided drunk old guys. The dance floor was filled with a great mix of people, so we didn't feel so 'old'. But I was extra nervous when we walked to the door and asked the bouncer if two other girls from our group had already come in. He said he thought so because two girls came in dressed like us. Dressed like us? Like we are dressed different, like maybe, say, older moms? Oh nooooo! But whatever, the younger girls had bedazzled pants and flip flops so there.
After we were all sore and sweaty (and tired!) we headed back to Leah's. Those of us who didn't have morning duty had a slumber party. You're never too old for a sleepover!
A fun night for sure. Can't wait until next year when us Bible Study girls have a Summer's Thirtieth Birthday Reunion! :)
