Chapter Books

Veda has figured out my phone. She will get into my photos and then scroll through them. She will even enlarge them if need be. But she also accidentally erases them. Grrrr. A wonderful video of Silas playing the kiddie piano and singing to Veda is gone, gone, gone. Anyone know how to retrieve deleted photos or videos from an iphone?!?!

So now I have my phone password protected so she can't access my goods. But she will hit the emergency call button. Never dull with toddlers!

Anyway, that was just a mini tangent.

Monday and Tuesday my niece came over to play with the kids since she didn't have school. She is almost 9 and she was a sweet dream. I ended up missing my kids by the time she went home because I didn't see them most of the day. She got them dressed, played ships and hide 'n' seek, she chased them around the house and kept them busy and happy all day. She also brought a chapter book to read if there was any down time. She would dig into it once in a while and so Silas got this idea to get his own chapter book to 'read' and carry around. He found a book on our bookshelf and has been carrying it around with him since Tuesday.

Right now Veda is napping and I was just downstairs prepping dinner (remember this moment people, because this rarely happens! A pre planned dinner and a nap time prep...feeling like a domestic diva!) while Silas was having a quiet time in his room. I came upstairs and he is standing in the hall and told me how excited he was about all the books he hid in his room. The bottom shelf of the bookshelf is now empty. Ta-da!

Looks like he put on him swim suit, too!
