Four Days

It is been a fun and eventful Thanksgiving weekend. Joe has been talking about how he's looking forward to work tomorrow because four days with the kids all day is a lot of work. Yes, I totally understand. ;)

We did our annual Turkey Day 5K with our friends again this year. Elise is 23 weeks pregnant, talk about impressive. We woke the kids up at 6:45 and were on the road by 7am. They were troopers!

Silas, Maya and big sister Avery did the kids run this year. We took a video of Silas running and that's all Veda wants to watch.  Here they are getting ready.

After the race.

Thanksgiving.
This year Joe's family invited my family to their celebration. It was great since then we only had one place to go that day. Our running buddies were going to spend the day alone since they had already celebrated Thanksgiving with their family the weekend before, so we invited them to party with us for dinner. All the kids played together downstairs, the boys had their cigars in the smoke room and ladies discussed child birth and theology. It was great. And add some turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes and you have the perfect Thanksgiving.
Avery came up a few times to inform us of Veda's misdoings. First she got a hold of some gum and was chomping away. Then we came downstairs to this: naked Veda, and Silas in his uniform (swim suit) jumping on the couch.

We stopped by Kreugers Tree Farm on Friday to pick out a tree. Silas and Joe did a good job of finding the perfect tree.

And then we decorated it. I spent a good about of time stringing felt balls on yarn and Silas spent a good amount of time perfecting his ornament hanging stills. He was so proud of his work that we are just going to leave the ornaments in a pile. :)
And of course, Veda is naked in almost every scene because that's all she does these days. Strips down naked. She can do it in under 20 seconds, pretty impressive!

Here we are at the Oceanaire for my birthday celebration. Fantastic food and we even got a glimpse of the Holidazzle Parade out the window.
The fun weekend is coming to an end. I always enjoy an extra hand during the day and the company of my dear husband, but at the same time I'm looking forward to getting back into our routine!
