Warning: Obnoxious Mom Post

I'm probably overreacting here, but I think I might have a future artist on my hands.  I am pretty sure I mentioned before how he, "Fraekin stays in the lines!"  The ironic part of it all is that he refuses to learn his colors. I've sat and worked on 'colors' with him for months and months and unless I make him focus (flash card style, which I'm so not a fan of!) he will tell me everything is blue. I think he thinks Blue is the answer to the question, What color is this? Like the answer to the question How old are you? is Two. And, What's your name? is Silas.  At 2.5 he may not know his colors by heart but by golly he can sure color.
First he colors in the dots.

Then me moves to the rest of the body.

Ta Da!

And for all of you moms out there....this is a brilliant idea to save your kids' art work without really saving it. Scan the art and then make a Shutterfly book out of it. I wish I could say I thought of that idea on my own. I didn't. But I'm definitely going to do it!

I am totally impressed! Who cares if he knows his colors yet or not...those are definitely some great coloring SKILLS! Great idea on scanning/saving the artwork too :)
