At this time when I was pregnant with Silas his room was finished, clothes were washed and put away, and although my hospital bag probably wasn't packed I'm sure I had a list of things to bring. This time Baby Girl's room is painted and as of this weekend that was about it.
On Sunday I finally got Joe and a friend of his to move the armoir from the garage to her room. I dragged the rocking chair in the room and draped the vintage quilt I picked up for her at the Junk Bonanza over it. I also recovered the Goodwill chair. And today I picked up the finished bumper from Aunt Gwennie!
{bumper and painted window ( a current project for her wall) }
Since Baby Girl will be using the same crib Silas is currently using I can't completely set up the room. Unless.....I take apart his crib (it won't fit through the doors otherwise) and put it back together in her room and set it up just to SEE. And I am seriously considering doing this tomorrow because that is how bad I want to see it put together. But doing it tomorrow means I'd have to do it while the rascal is awake since he sleeps in the crib and that might just be too much of a disaster!
{ Recovered chair. Not the exact fabric I was envisioning, but it works. }
Plus, I have a changing bed that I purchased at Once Upon a Child to pick up and I still need to figure out some sort of bed skirt for the crib. Not to mention the three ideas I have for her walls...which may never come to completion and the curtains. I am stuck on curtain ideas.
{ My Junk Bonanza quilt that I love! Vintage material in fantastic shape. }
And the walls are annoying me. I thought that putting furniture in there would help to ease the intense YELLOWNESS, but it hasn't for me. And that is another reason I want to set up the crib in there just to see if maybe the yellow will grow on me more one that is set up. I refuse to repaint the room...for the time and money sake....and really, it's just a room and just a color and just walls and I just need to get over it. Easier said than done!

Don't do it! The crib.... I think taking those things apart and putting them back together is the most obnoxious thing ever. I am still confused as to why no one has made one 1 inch skinnier so it could fit through a door....
But it sounds like you're nesting - so if so, by all means, have fun with the crib. :) can't wait to see it all come together WITH a cutie baby girl in it!
Don't worry, I won't take it apart. I just told myself today that it's okay if the room isn't finished by the time she is born. I told myself this AFTER I looked at the directions on how to take apart the crib :) YIKES!
