Joe's first day of school was on Monday. He wants to eventually get his degree, but with a growing family and a business to run he is only taking one class at a time. Finals basically fall on my due date, so with that I am a little nervous to be married to a student. If we can juggle this I feel like we can do about anything!
25.5 weeks!
Someone asked me the other day how far along I was and I didn't remember. A clear sign that this isn't the first pregnancy!
Monday one of my friends dropped her son, Grant, off for a few hours while she got some dental work done. Grant was scared of Silas and Silas couldn't care less about Grant. I am holding onto hope that someday they'll hit it off and be friends.
Grant's mom, Rachel, is a chiropractor and I showed her a little rash on Silas's back. At first I thought he had some bug bites, but then the rash got darker and I noticed he had clusters of bumps. Rachel diagnosed it as shingles. I took him to the Dr yesterday and sure enough Silas has shingles, which are harmless for the most part. They don't bother him and they are no harm to me or Baby Girl...so we are going to just let them run their course. The interesting thing is, you can't get shingles unless you've had chicken pox. That means Silas had chicken pox at some point (probably before he was 1--they are a lot more mild then) and we never knew.
I hope you all are enjoying this amazing weather as much as we are. With a little boy who prefers to be outdoors every waking moment, the nice cool breeze and the dry air beats the heat and humidity any day!
