The 20 Week Wait

Ultrasound Day!  I arrived 15 minutes early (typical me) and Joe arrived 7 minutes late (typical Joe).  They called me in before Joe got there and said they'd send him back once he arrived.  I told the tech NOT to reveal the gender until my husband came.

Joe got escorted back to room 2 in the radiology department with a fuller bladder than I had.  He walked in the room saying, "I'm holding it!"  I told him to go potty and that we'll wait.  I joked with the tech that he is a empathetic husband and if I have to have a full bladder he will too. We laughed and then she asked if he got labor pains and gained some sympathy weight while I'm pregnant, too.  I told her I wasn't going to hold my breath on those :)

Not long after Joe arrived we realized that Silas will have a baby SISTER! Blessing number two seems to be taking after her brother in more was than one.  For one, she is extremely active: flipping, moving, putting her hands over her face, chewing on her fingers, opening and closing her mouth (it looked like she was talking to us), crossing her ankles.  And because of her activity it took the techs one hour and forty minutes to get all of the measurements and pictures they needed! The first tech was still in her clinical so she needed a real professional to finish up the process. Both techs mentioned that we had a 'bouncy' and 'active' baby girl. She is also like her brother in the sense that their ultrasound pictures look very similar.  Maybe most babies at 20 weeks look the same, but we were having flashbacks while looking at the screen.

    Baby Girl                                                                      Silas

They sent me home with about 12 pictures of Baby Girl.  I will share more with you soon, but until then you can enjoy her profile!

As of now Baby Girl doesn't have a name.  We are still deliberating.  If you have any suggestions feel free to share. We actually technically have a name we could use if he had to.  A name we both 'like' but as of right now I don't love it and I want to love the name. I want to love the name to the point where if I share it with someone and they clearly don't like it I won't care because that's how much I love it.

My dad calls her Cindy Ann (the name I chose for my first doll when I was a little girl).
