I got the below email the other day. The reason I think it's so funny is because I joined this club last June and have attended two events, tops! And those two events were both in June. I have dropped off a meal to a member that had a baby and also signed up to be in a once a week playgroup, but never heard back. I could pick out maybe three participating moms from a group of people, but I guarantee they wouldn't recognize me. I wonder why they nominated me? They were probably thinking....she has only one child and he is 1yr old now let's pick her! I politely declined and the Admin VP seemed understanding :-) Phew!

I wanted to send you this email to let you know that you have been nominated for the 2010-2011 MOMS Club Stillwater/Lake Elmo Board. Congratulations! This is a very exciting opportunity to be a big part of helping the local chapter and seeing your idea's come together to not only grow our chapter but helping so many stay at home Mom's find the support they need during the day. I have been on the board three years and it is a very fun and interesting time, it's great for your resume and it forms yet another bond among other women within the club.
