There is not an 8 month WCC so I have no stats for you, but most people guess he is about a year old by his size! I knew he was on the bigger end, but he still looked like a little baby to me, until another 8 month old joined music class and whoa, I get it. Silas looked like a kindergartner next to her...she was so sweet and little, just sitting in front of her dad enjoying the music.
Silas is our wild child. Most days by the time Joe gets home I'm beat. But as active as he is he is also very happy. Laughing and teasing and smiling and always wanting to play and move and conquer something. He definitely has a knack for conquering cords in his mouth, fingers in outlets, DVD's off shelves, eating little scraps of paper and climbing and scaling anything which includes but isn't limited to: chairs, tables, shower doors, windows, couches, shelves, end tables, and of course gates.
His latest accomplishments: sippy cup holding (although, he usually only holds his bottle or the sippy if he absolutely has to), pointing (it's a whole hand point, not so much a finger point), sliding, and high fiving. And if I read a book fast enough with a whole lot of enthusiasm he will sit in my lap and look at the pages. The Very Hungry Catipillar is a current favorite!
Our little boy has brought us eight months of joy; we are so thankful for our little Booger Boo!
