It has almost been a week since I fed Silas in the middle of the night and I will say that this transition has been heavenly. Silas still will get up at night and make a little fuss, but I just go in there and rub his back, tuck him in and he goes right back to sleep. And get this, some nights he DOESN'T EVEN WAKE UP! Seriously, I was expecting Joe and me to be huddled up in the hallway outside his door from midnight until 4am near tears as we listen to Silas scream night after night after night. I really hope I'm not speaking, or should I say posting, too soon and that this No Need For Food attitude will continue through each night from here on out.
I really can't figure out why this transition has been so easy. I think that either Silas heard Dr. Heuermann and decided he'd take a back rub instead of screaming all night long, or I have been jumping up at any little peep out of him and offering him something he can't resist...a bottle!
Whatever the case is, I am really enjoying my sleep.

Oops, that was Katie, not Mark. I'm sure he's excited for Silas too but may express it differently.
