The good, the bad and the funny

This happened to me twice in the last 6 days. On Friday Silas and I were on our way to visit my MIL and all of a sudden, thump..thump...thump! While Joe was on his way to change the tire Silas and I took a stroll to the Goodwill to kill time and get out of the heat. A lady there saw Silas and was cooing at him and then began talking to me about her daughter who is pregnant. I was definitely meant to run into her at the Goodwill because she went on to say how great I looked for just having a baby. Why was this meant to be, you ask? Because two weeks prior someone asked me when I was due!!!! AHH, like a knife to the heart! It was one of Joe's high school acquaintances who (I'm telling myself...) heard I was pregnant and since I wasn't with the baby when we saw him (and it was dark...) assumed I was still expecting. What the heck people, don't ask unless you know for sure! I'm over it, I promise. And a huge thanks to the lady at the Goodwill for helping me to get over it. Ok, back to the flat tire. Well, today it happened again, but this time I was in my driveway when I noticed (thankfully!). I was actually on my way to the chiropractor and was bummed that I'd have to reschedule. But then I remembered that we had THIS...

sitting in our driveway. So there I was driving a big plow truck (in July!) to the chiro with a baby next to me. Don't worry, I turned off the passenger side airbag and I did remember to drive with the plow up and park with it down.

To add to the comedy of it all THIS

is what our sink has looked like for the last ten days. No faucet!! Definitely not the end of the world, but man do I realize how great it is to have a working faucet in the kitchen.

On the up side, my kid is hilarious
