Summer Camp at the YMCA

Scene: Sitting under the big tent at the YMCA pool with some 19yr old girls with YMCA Summer Camp shirts on.

USA Girl: Where are you from?
German Girl: I'm from Germany. I'm here for two months.
USA Girl: That's cool. I've never been to Germany. Do you have YMCA's there?
German Girl: Yes
USA Girl: Do you have pools there
German Girl: No, no pools
USA Girl: Wow, is Germany a poor country?(thinking that she meant there are no pools in Germany at all) Isn't Romania in Germany?
German Girl: Um, Romania is another country!
USA Girl: Oh, haha, I'm dumb. Do you know how to speak German?
German Girl: What?
USA Girl: Do you, um, like know how to talk in German?
German Girl: (laughing) yes, of course!

German girl walks away to pool, another YMCA Camp shirt girl comes.

USA Girl: She's from Germany and she's here for two months and she's staying with some family that she doesn't even know
Other Girl: That's gotta sucks!

Maybe you had to be there, but I was laughing to myself listening to these girls converse. The conversation went on and on between USA Girl and Other Girl as they talked openly about their boyfriends. I will spare you the dialog!
